Never give up hope

t was a tough year, it was almost time for the year end holidays, examinations were rounding off and lots of plans were being made…… Linda got caught up in the middle of it all.
Thoughts of finishing off was her priority, but then, there’s no way possible she was gonna finish before the scheduled departure time for students.
Nigeria is tough enough quite alright, but life has its own way of throwing things around.
She had hoped to join her sister for their Xmas trip to Abuja but still there were tons of school work to be done because it was her final year.
Several nights, she’d stay up to add up a page or two to her project work, and also steal some time to read. Endlessly, she worked, prayed and hoped that on the last day, which is “project defense day” she’d rush in, defend her project and take the first flight to Lagos the next morning. I guess, the saying that “good things never happen easily” was starting to reflect in her situation as she tried to do her best in the exams.
A few days later, they were called in by her project supervisor, and told that there’s gonna be a redo of one of their core courses. Out of surprise she yelled “No” we can’t, i mean, i am gonna be unavailable. It is the day for project defending and there’s no way possible, we’re are gonna be able to combine the two.
She almost resorted to tears, because of the disappointment she felt knowing that her plans has been disrupted, all she had hoped for started to feel like a never ending race. All she could think of, was for a miracle to happen. Well, just like the Holy Book says, “there is a time for everything” there came a voice whispering deep into her ears, “Linda, are you kidding, you are prepared for all of this” even though the exam is gonna be re-written severally, you’d read for it and there’s no failing it.
